  • Morgan will first assess the body visually and then hands on. The client is fully or partially clothed and lying on a table for the majority of the treatment.

Treatment is done through hands on movement of tissues, organs, and bones. An osteopath works with the body to restore alignment and health. Osteopaths never force anything into place or override the needs of the body, you do not feel pain during the treatment.

  • How many sessions you will need is dependent upon how complex the issue is you are coming in with. As each person has a unique presentation of their symptoms and path to how they got to where they are, so each journey is different. Usually one or two appointments within a week of each other is enough to get the process started, then follow-up can range from a few more sessions spread out over the next few weeks or months, or a recommendation of regular monthly or quarterly appointments to help keep the body on track. Osteopathy is best used as a preventative tool.

  • Most sessions are fully clothed, so please wear something comfortable and flexible. At times partially clothed is best, but you will only be down to your underwear.

  • Because osteopathy looks at the body as a whole functional unit, osteopaths are able to address multiple systems in one session. So often things that won’t resolve with chiropractic adjustments or with regular massage will change with osteopathic care. Treatments in the beginning are closer together - once a week or every other week - but are then are quickly spread out as the body is able to find its own way.

An osteopath is trained to feel with their hands what a person needs for better alignment, fluid flow and where the health is at any given time, and then guides the body back to that place of health. It is a real-time dialogue between the person on the table and the osteopath, making each treatment specifically unique to you, not a formula applied to someone with your type of problem.
